About Us: Our Mission
Arnold Pet Station strives to provide quality client service, a clean and friendly environment, as well as the most up-to-date medical equipment and facilities. We are committed to preserving and improving your pet's life through continuous staff and client education, and progressive medicine.
Our Doctors & Staff
We have three departments at Arnold Pet Station: The Veterinary Staff, which includes our doctors, technicians and veterinary assistants; the Receptionists, whose duties are wide-ranging and require an in-depth knowledge of your pet's health care issues; and the Kennel Staff, a hard-working group who don't get the recognition they deserve for giving your pets a loving home away from home.

Dr. Leslie CarrHi! I am Dr. Leslie Carr, the owner of the Arnold Pet Station. My mother, Helen and I started APS in 1992. After graduating from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and working in various places for 6 years, I decided to take the plunge to work for myself. We have been very successful. I love working in this area and with the people and pets here. My favorite things to see are behavior consults, puppy counseling, bad cats and dirty ears. I live in Millersville on 33 acres with 4 dogs (Luke and Boarus who are Catahoulas, Flip a Bordehoula: half Catahould and half Border Collie, and Ting, a Miniature Pinscher) as well as 4 cats (Romeo, Duncan, McGee and Mustachio) and a herd of sheep. In my spare time I like to read and do needlework. I am a rated scorekeeper for competitive water skiing. This year I will be working both the Regionals and National Championships. I also like to travel. Previous destinations include Turkey, the Outer Hebrides in Scotland and bareboat sailing in the Caribbean and Greece. HOWEVER, my primary hobby is competing with my dogs in agility. Dog agility is a timed obstacle course with jumps, tunnels, weave poles, etc. Several of my dogs compete, and one is learning to herd sheep! I love being busy!! |

Dr. Jennifer LevitskyI have been an associate veterinarian at Arnold Pet Station since the fall of 2000. I knew I wanted to be a vet since about seventh grade. I majored in biochemistry and English at Bowdoin College and then went on to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine for my graduate degree. After graduating from Tufts and suffering through eight New England winters, I came back home to do a one year internship in surgery, general, and emergency medicine at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington D.C. After my internship, I stayed on there for another year as their Director of Emergency Medicine. I then went on to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Catonsville and served as an emergency clinician there for about 3 years before Dr. Carr recruited me for regular practice. I have loved being in Arnold and working with such committed clients and their pets. The staff here is wonderful and we really take a team approach to working up cases and finding solutions. I have a special interest in dermatology and endocrine disease cases with diabetic kitties being my favorite. I'm also a big fan of weight control especially as a means to preventing further diseases and increasing longevity. While not at Arnold, I also work part time with Standard bred horses at Rosecroft Raceway as a racetrack veterinarian. In my spare time, I like exploring Caribbean islands with white sand beaches and blue water or taking a yoga class. However, I can usually be found trying to tire out my dog Josie, so she'll leave the two little grey kitties, Alfie and Zoe, at peace. Josie and the pussycats were all rescues and have learned to get along well, but the cats hope that Josie will mature soon. To that end, I have found the doggie day care here at Arnold to be immensely helpful. Josie is here most days and always in search of a lively playmate. Just come in and request Josie Day Care and I guarantee your pet will come home tired. |
